蒋介石、宋美龄在庐山的第一栋别墅
说起蒋介石、宋美龄在庐山的别墅,人们都知道是“美庐”。实际上,蒋介石、宋美龄在庐山的第一栋别墅是摩顿别墅。他们在这栋别墅里住的时间并不短,前后达6年。摩顿别墅现为脂红路210号,它的原主人为美国人摩顿姐妹。摩顿姐妹长住上海。1910年她们来到庐山,立即被这浪漫地方所吸引,当即决定购地建别墅。
别墅主楼为一层,面积230余平方米。别墅的主立面有宽约三米的敞开式外廊,既可在外廊上伴着清风云雾饮酒跳舞,又可放眼尽览长冲河谷逶迤绮丽的景致。尤其是入夜,脚下的密林中透出盏盏灯光,不疏不密,绵延数里,时隐时现,神秘而又温馨,让人浮想联翩,宛如进入童话世界。
摩顿姐妹1927年因要回国准备卖掉庐山的别墅,宋美龄的母亲倪桂珍闻讯便买了下来,送给即将结婚的宋美龄作嫁妆。蒋介石、宋美龄也十分喜欢这栋别墅,一住就是6年。
摩顿别墅虽然充满浪漫气息,但面积还是小了些,尤其是庭园面积太小,难以满足蒋介石办公、开会、接待国内外宾客的要求,蒋介石、宋美龄这才于1933年8月上旬搬至美庐别墅。
摩顿别墅因曾是蒋介石宋美龄的官邸而载入史册,并受到重点保护。别墅的原主人摩顿姐妹也不会料到这栋别墅以后的命运竟会如此;更不会想到她们的名字将会和这栋别墅连在一起。
The first villa of Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Soong Mei-ling in Mt. Lushan
Meilu Villa is quite well known to be the residence ofChiang Kai-shek and Chiang Soong Mei-ling in Mt. Lushan,however it is not the first villa the couple owned here. In fact,Morton Villa is their first residence in Kuling and they had spentsix years here.
Morton Villa is located in No.210 Zhi Hong Road. It was ownedby two American sisters, Manuseta D.Morton and A.R .Morton. Theyspent most of their time in Shanghai, but when they came to Kuling in1910, they fell in love with the place and decided to purchase a piece of landand to build a villa .
This villa is an one story building with an area of 230 square meters,and hasan opening veranda of three meter' S wide.Under the roofed porch,you can wineand dine with friends,or have a very good view of the Chang Chong River valley.During the night,the lights from the quiet forest are warm and mysterious,like afairy tale.
Soong Mei-ling's mother,Madame Ni Gui Zhen bought this house asdowry from the Morton sisters,who wanted to sell it before returning toAmerica .
Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Soong Mei-ling loved this villa and stayedthere for six years .Although this is a very romantic and cozy villa,its limitedspace, especially outdoor area,was insufficient for the coupIe to entertaintheir guests. In August 1 933,they moved to Meilu Villa.
As the former residence of ChiangKai-shek and Chiang SoongMei-ling, Morton Villa became well-known and got good conservations,which must be unexpected to the orton sisters.
